Friends who shop frequently know that the Taobao platform contains two types of stores, Tmall and Taobao. So what are the differences between these two types of stores? I believe that many of my friends don’t really understand it yet. Today, Winning Education will explain it to you from different perspectives.

This matter needs to start with Alibaba, which was first handled by Jack Ma. In the early days, Alibaba’s positioning was to connect the cooperative relationship between enterprises, and to put it simply, it was an online wholesale market. That is to say, the idea of integrating the offline wholesale market into the online market. Of course, this creative situation was not first created by Jack Ma. There has long been such a precedent abroad, that is, Amazon. Thus there is a professional view of the B2B platform.

Later, Jack Ma created Taobao, and Taobao’s thinking is that individual sellers can provide consumers with purchases by uploading products to the platform, which is called C2C. Taobao is a person-to-person approach, and it can be sold as a merchant without any business license, and it has continued to be used until now.

Later, these powerful merchant enterprises were integrated into Tmall stores, which is the B2C model. These merchants need to have certain qualifications and capabilities before they can sell things to consumers on the platform.

The difference between Tmall and Taobao is that although they are both shopping platforms, there are certain differences in merchant attributes. Usually, the simplest understanding is that Tmall stores are more secure than Taobao stores. After all, Tmall needs a certain threshold to settle in, and many of them are corporate brands.

For merchants, the cost of opening a store is also different. Taobao does not even need a deposit of 1,000 to open a store. Tmall needs 10,000 yuan to start, and a deposit of more than 100,000 yuan is required. Setting such a threshold also wants to attract more high-quality merchants, and put ordinary buyers out of the door. After all, ordinary individual buyers cannot afford such expenses.

Through the above analysis, I believe that everyone who wins the championship has a simple understanding of the difference between Taobao and Tmall. In fact, for newcomers, if we want to enter the e-commerce platform, Taobao is more friendly, and Tmall has a certain threshold.
